How it works

Easy, Peasy, Orange Squeezy

Each year, talented, generous artists donate their time and unique skills to create art to benefit a local non-profit.
This year (2021) we are raising money for the Red Hook Art Project.

Contributions are made

To give this year, you simply go to the Give & Get section of this site and select a favorite drawing prompt from the Flora & Fauna list. You can pick your contribution level ($30, $50 or $75 - which all get you the same thing). We’ll be printing and mailing the artwork in early December.

The Draw-A-Thon, not this year….

We usually do an in-person draw-a-thon, but instead this year each artist picked a Flora & Fauna prompt at random and we are giving them 2 weeks to complete this request. We hope there is a concept in there that you love!

8X10 print sent to supporters as a thank you!

Artists will submit their masterpieces to us and we’ll have them dropped in the mail by Dec 12th. Just in time for holiday gifting!

Proceeds donated to Red Hook Art Project

We donate all of the proceeds directly to the non-profit at the close of the giving period (excluding the added shipping cost.) Will Draw for Good is not a non-profit itself, so we are not able to provide charitable giving receipts, but we’ve found this is the easiest way to collect funds without paying huge transaction fees on crowdfunding style sites.
OrangeYouGlad, WDFG’s sponsor, also covers all of the sales tax.

From 2011-2019 Will Draw was a live draw-a-thon event. Due to Covid we’ve had to shift how we organize the fundraiser, but take a look at folks in action from past years.

Wait, what, you want to write about the event?

That is so nice of you! The more we get the word out, the more funds we can raise. Let us know if you need anymore info from us and who you are so we can get excited about who is chatting about us.
